Privacy Policy
Parkio is an early-stage product operated by its founder, Oğuzhan Taşyaran, from Türkiye. This policy explains, at a practical level, how information may be handled across parkio.dev and the Parkio public beta. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to info@parkio.dev.
1. Information Parkio may process
Depending on how you use the product, Parkio may process account information you provide, parking reports and related content, location information when you choose to grant location access, and technical data such as device, browser, network, security, and diagnostic logs.
2. Location information
Location is used only where it is needed to provide location-based parking functionality or a feature you request. Browser or device permissions control whether precise location is available to Parkio. You can change those permissions through your device or browser settings.
3. How information is used
- to provide and operate Parkio features;
- to show nearby parking information and relevant source context;
- to maintain account, security, abuse-prevention, and moderation functions;
- to diagnose errors, improve reliability, and develop the beta;
- to respond to support, privacy, or business inquiries; and
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Community and municipal data
Parking reports submitted to community features may be used to generate parking signals visible to other users. Municipal or other public-source parking data is handled as third-party/public-source information and may be subject to separate source terms.
5. Sharing
Parkio may use infrastructure, hosting, security, analytics, communications, or other service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the product. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of Parkio and its users.
6. Retention and deletion
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Where the product provides an in-app deletion function, you may use it. You may also contact info@parkio.dev with a deletion or privacy request.
7. Security
Parkio uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to an early-stage internet service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Parkio is not designed for children who are below the minimum age required to independently consent to online services in their jurisdiction.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information. You may also have a right to contact a competent data-protection authority. Requests can be sent to info@parkio.dev.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated as the beta, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated date.
